Description of peak:
Rinnerspitze is a beautiful conical mountain rising above the lake of the same name. Although it does not stand out for its height or the difficulty of its approach in the vast Alpeine mountain range in which it is situated, it is probably the most visited three-thousand-peak peak in the glacier-shaded surroundings, which otherwise contain a good number of the great peaks of the Stubai Alps.
The leading reasons for the popularity of the mountain lie in its status as one of the objectives of the "7 peaks of Stubai" point-by-point tour and in the fact that, unlike most of the surrounding three-thousanders, the climb in summer is made in terrestrial conditions and requires less equipment and experience, but it is still quite tempting, The summit offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountain range, with the rock fortress of the Sommerwand ridge and the peaks flanking the glacier behind it, a view of Lake Rinnensee and most of the major peaks of the Alpein Group, led by the Schrankogl, the Ruderhofspitze and the Östliche Seespitze.
