Description of peak:
Sulzkogel is a scenic and easily and relatively quickly accessible three-peak mountain located above the well-known ski resort of Kühtai in the Sellrain mountain range in the far north-west of Stubai Alps. With its "3000 factor", its high altitude and easy access and its lack of technical difficulty, the summit is visited in large numbers.
As Sulzkogel is the highest peak in the part of the range rising above Kühtai and also the second most northerly of the three Stubai Alps, it offers extensive and enticing views, with outstanding views of the Ötztal Alps to the west, the Stubai Alps to the south and south-east, the Mieming and Karwendel mountains to the north, and towards Kühtai and the reservoir lake above it.
