Description of peak:
Szent Gyoergy Hegy (Mount St George) is one of a number of volcanoes on the north-eastern shore of Lake Balaton, in an area the Hungarians call Tapolcai Medence (named after the largest town in the area - Tapolca). Szent Gyoergy Hegy is not the highest volcano in the area, but it is the most visited, with 12 m high basalt stalactites on the northern side of the hill. From the top, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding area, and in high visibility, you can also see Boč and Donačka gora.
