Description of mountain:
Turul Emlekmű is the largest eagle monument in Eastern Europe. It is located above the town of Tatabanya in Hungary, about 50 km from Budapest. This eagle is also the symbol of the mining town of Tatabanya and one of the most visited tourist spots in the town. It is located on the western slopes of the Gerecse mountain range, which ends above the town. There are several ferattas on the precipitous slopes, which are extremely popular and visited due to their proximity to Budapest. The monument offers an outstanding view of Tatabanyu, Oroszlany and the surrounding area.
