Vrholanov vrh (Ravne pri Šoštanju)

Ravne pri Šoštanju, or Ravne, is a picturesque settlement in the municipality of Šoštanj. At the beginning of the village is the 16th-century Gutenbichl manor house, surrounded by a beautiful Baroque park, whose last owners were the Vošnjak leather family from Šoštanj. The ruins of the 14th-century Forhtenek Castle stand on a hilltop in the hamlet of Pristava. The inhabitants of Raven are mostly hill farmers, while in the lower part of the village there are newly settled inhabitants from the neighbouring village of Družmirje, which was floded due to mining.
