Description of peak:
Zermula is a 2143 m high mountain in the Carnic Alps.
Approaches are possible from the north (Passo del Cason di Lanza) or the south (Paularo).
There are numerous tunnels, bunkers and firing lines on the mountain and in its immediate surroundings, which are remnants of the First World War.
Etymologically, the origin of the name of the mountain is Frulian. The meaning is 'sprout'; the idea for the name probably came from the sight of the grassy southern slopes of the mountain.
Zermula is also known for being included in the 60 Points of Friendship transversal.
