Yesterday (Friday, October 23rd) along the Kamniška Bela valley to Kamniška Cave and back. The path to Orličje waterfall (Orglice) could actually be called a real little tourist gem, with numerous signs and markers, memorial plaques, even more or less successful protections on short stairs, suitable for an afternoon visit. There's enough water in the waterfall these days. Along the path to Skok I continued for about 20 minutes to the gully and across it. On the other side, a less visible hunter's path branches off. It first leads through the forest, then along a steep, grassy ridge with sparse trees, and finally through the forest again. The cave entrance (about 10 meters high overhang) is accessible, but at the start of the main tunnel leading inside, there are grates installed to protect the rare stone formations in the cave. It was dripping slightly from the ceiling. From the grasses left of the cave I climbed up to a tree another few tens of meters higher. Above it, I spotted about a one-meter-high passage in the wall leading somewhere into the mountain interior. I crawled in up to my waist, but no further . Further left, towards the steep adjacent gully, I saw no more passage. I returned to the path to Skok. I had some more time, so I climbed another about 150 vertical meters up the gully furthest left of Skok. Above some kind of dead-end on the right side of this gully, a chamois greeted me and rolled small and slightly larger rocks towards me. At that time it also clouded over heavily and looked like rain. Since I didn't want to become an involuntary element of some ad hoc waterfall, I took the rockfall as an additional friendly warning and quickly headed back down the nice, smoothed rocks in the gully. It didn't rain yesterday, but the story will surely have a continuation another time. The path to Kamniška Cave is poorly trodden but without major features. At times, especially in the forest, it's less traceable, but cairns help. On the return, due to carelessness I missed it two or three times by a few meters in the forest, but always managed to get back to the path without trouble. In the steep grassy slopes (about 200 m high section) due to long, overgrown grasses you more guess the narrow trail than follow it. The steepness there is considerable, one could even say exposed. But the path is really skillfully routed, so no issues. Although covered with grass, there's always space for at least one boot. Only in rain it might be slippery. On the lower third of the grassy section there's a comfortable ledge with a nice view towards Najnar hut.
