Planina Mjesec

Description of mountain pasture:
Planina Mjesec / mountain pasture Mjesec is located above Baška, at the edge of the forest on the plateau below the summit of Hlam (461 m). There is a small shelter and some information boards on Planina Mjesec. The shelter area, which is located at the edge of the forest, is also home to some species of animals whose spots or bites can be dangerous to humans. In the plateau area or in the whole Krka hills, you can encounter the black widow (Latrodectus tredecimguttatus) (the black widow is a venomous spider (only the female is dangerous to humans), which is recognised by its black colour and thirteen red (sometimes yellow or orange) spots) and the bluetailed snake (Vipera ammodytes) (the bluetailed snake is a venomous snake, which is recognised by the small flower on its nose).
