Access to the starting point:
Take the Poljane nad Škofjo Loko, from where you continue towards Javorje from the semaphore crossroads. When you reach Dolenčice, more precisely the crossroads where the main road makes a right turn, the route described above begins. You can park a few 100 metres further on in the parking lot under the parish church of St. Tilne in Javorje, or already before the settlement Dolenčice in a suitable place on the roadside.
Path description:
From where we parked, we first walk to the crossroads, from where we continue past the cross to the monument to Anton Ažbet, which stands in front of the painter's birthplace. We pass the monument on the bottom left and then a few more houses to reach the hay meadows, which offer a beautiful view. A little further on, cross a picturesque stream, and then at the end of the small hamlet of Gornja Sevnica, continue right on the cart track, which continues across meadows and passes alongside a small stream. Further on, cart track crosses a few more watercourses, and then yellow-green markings direct you to the right, on a path that climbs cross-country to the left, and higher up joins another cart track, which you follow to the left. Follow cart track past the trail junction to Boštjan's Well, and when you reach a small stream, go right, quite steeply into the forest. The path ahead leads us past a once mighty spruce tree, which had a circumference at chest height of 462 cm.

At the spruce, the path turns left and leads us out of the forest, to the upper edge of a larger hayfield, from which we have a beautiful view of the surrounding hills. After a few minutes' walk, you will reach an asphalt road, which you follow to the left, and in a few 10 steps you will reach the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
To the right of the church and in front of the forestry we see the mountain direction signs for Blegoš and Žetina, which point slightly left, a marked path leads slightly right towards the Hleviše pass, and we continue straight on to an unmarked path that turns into a forest. A few minutes climb through the forest follows, where we reach a bench and cairn on the Malen peak, along a fainter path.
