Dolga vas - Church of the Holy Trinity in Lendavske gorice

Access to the starting point:
Leave the Pomurje motorway at the junction for Dolgo vas, where you take the H7 expressway for a short distance and take the first exit for Dolgo vas. When you arrive in Dolgo vas, you will pass the cemetery, where there is a marked parking lot, but parking is only allowed for visitors to the cemetery. We drive to the other side of the cemetery, where we exit the junction on the left (right Lendava) and then park on the east side of the cemetery.

Path description:
From the parking lot, first cross the main road carefully and then turn right towards Lendava. After a few steps, turn left onto a side road, marked Vinarium Tower and Brickworks Trail. The ascent passes by the fire station, and at the part where the road passes through the forest you reach a marked crossroads, where the Opekarniška trail branches off to the left.
Continue along the road, which climbs higher past a few houses and leads to a signpost, after which you continue straight ahead from a small crossroads. Continue walking between occasional houses, following the signs and markings for the Opekarniška path at the crossroads.
At a higher altitude, leave the Opekarniška Trail and the path leading towards the Vinarium lookout tower and the pyramid and continue slightly right in the direction of the castle and the Holy Trinity. Just a little further on, you reach another crossroads where you go straight ahead (take a sharp left to return to the path towards the tower) and then gradually start descending southwards. After a short descent, the road to Lendava turns sharp right, and we leave it at this point and continue straight on towards St Trinity.
After a few minutes of easy walking, we reach the Church or Chapel of the Holy Trinity, which offers a beautiful view of the surrounding area.
