Dom v Kamniški Bistrici - Memorial park in Kamniška Bistrica

Access to the starting point:
a) Drive to Kamnik, then follow the signs for Kamniško Bistrica. Follow the road through the Kamniška Bistrica valley to the parking area under the Dom v Kamniški Bistrica.
b) Leave the Štajerska motorway at the Vransko exit and follow the road to Kamnik. In Kamnik, turn right at the first traffic light, then follow the signs for Kamnik Bistrica. Follow the road along the Kamniška Bistrica valley to the parking lot under the Dom v Kamniški Bistrica.
c) Take the Gornji Grad, then drive over the Črnivec Pass towards Kamnik. Before Kamnik, at Stahovica, turn right towards Kamnik Bistrica. Follow the road along the Kamniška Bistrica valley to the parking area under the Dom v Kamniški Bistrica.
d) From Luce, drive over the Volovljek Pass (Kranjski Rak) to Stahovica, where turn right at the traffic lights towards Kamniška Bistrica. Follow the road along the Kamniška Bistrica valley to the parking lot under the Dom in Kamniška Bistrica.

Path description:
From the parking lot, return to the asphalt road, then continue right towards Stahovica. After a few steps, you will reach a bridge over the Kamniška Bistrica, which opens up a beautiful view of the lake at the source of the Kamniška Bistrica. Just after the bridge, the path along the spring branches off to the left, and we continue along the asphalt road for another 10 m to a marked crossroads, where we continue to the right in the direction of the Memorial Park, Plečnik's Manor and the International Picnic Centre "Pri Jurju". There is a short descent along a macadam road, and after the bridge over the Kamniška Bistrica you will quickly climb up to the International Picnic Centre "Pri Jurju".
After the centre "pri Jurju" the road turns into a forest, and when you reach a large clearing you are already at Plečnik's mansion.
Go around the manor house on the left, and the worse road, along which we are accompanied by markings, returns to the forest. The path climbs gently at first, then becomes steeper and leads to a crossroads by a wooden bridge.
Continue straight on (right over the bridge to reach the road to Jermanca and the V Koncu cable car) and above the dam, signs for the memorial park direct you to the right, where you then cross over the torrent. On the other side of the torrent, follow the marked path into the forest, which quickly leads to the Memorial Park. Through the park, follow the wider path, from which there are several branches to the individual memorials.
The park ends in front of a torrent, after which you reach the aforementioned dirt road.
You can descend either by the ascent route, along the dirt road, or by the marked path that runs north of the dirt road and joins the road before Dom v Kamniški Bistrici.
