Povden - Krekova koča na Ratitovcu

Access to the starting point:
From Škofja Loka, drive towards Železniki and on to the village of Zali log. When the forest road turns right after the village of Zali log (direction Ravne and Torka), take this road. When the road leads to a sharp right turn with a crossroads, turn right. The road then leads to the hamlet of Torka. Turn right here (left Zabrdo) and drive to the saddle Po(v)den near which you park in one of the parking places along the road.

Path description:
From the parking lot, first walk to the saddle Povden (Poden), where there is a crossroads. Continue left in the direction of Ratitovec along the path, which crosses the lane of a forest in a moderate ascent and then turns into steep grassy slopes. The path then climbs steeply up a steep grassy slope, which is dangerous to slip on in wet and snowy conditions (danger of avalanches in winter). This increasingly scenic path, on which the steepness suddenly gives way, leads us higher up to the vast pastures of Ratitovec. Here the path turns slightly to the left and then leads us in a gently sloping ascent in a few further minutes of walking to the mountain home at Ratitovec.
