Stražišče - Velika Špička

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Koper take the exit Unec and follow the road in the route Cerknica. At the beginning of Cerknica turn left in the direction of Begunj pri Cerknici. Continue to the crossroads in Begunj, where you turn right towards the village Selšček. Follow this road through the village Selšček and shortly after turn left towards Rakitna. The road then begins to climb and after a few kilometres leads to a crossroads where you turn left towards the village of Stražišče. Follow this road for just over 200m to a roadside parking lot, where you park.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the road and after a few minutes' walk it will lead you to a crossroads where you have two options for continuing. The left road, which is slightly shorter, goes through the village, while the right road goes around the village. The two roads merge at the bus stop, where the road also starts to descend. Follow this descending road for a short distance. Before the asphalted road goes into the forest, you will see a goat house on the left where cart track starts. Cart track then crosses a short lane of wods and after this leads to a clearing where cart track leaves. Here, continue slightly left along a pleasant path that climbs gently through the spruce trees. This path soon joins the marked path coming from Begunj. Follow this path, which is soon joined by the path from the village Selšček, all the way to the top, which is reached in a few minutes.
