Access to the starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice motorway, take the Lesce exit and follow the road towards Bled and on to Bohinjska Bistrica. From Bohinjska Bistrica turn right towards Ribčev Laz and Lake Bohinj. In the village Polje turn left towards the village Žlan. Go through Žlan on the asphalted main road and at the end of the village follow the dirt road for another 300 m. You will come to a small parking area where you can leave your vehicle.
Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the lower macadam path, which after a few metres turns into a path with the sign Črna prst. Follow the marked path to the first cart track, where you turn right. Continue to the Repar rovt and past the hunting lodge and observation tower, where cart track becomes a path and then descends into a hollow at the source of the Bistrica River. Continue over a wooden bridge and then left along cart track towards Bohinjska Bistrica. After crossing the bridge, turn right and you will reach the source of the Bistrica River (approx. 25 m). At the crossroads of the tracks turn right (the left path leads to Bohinjska Bistrica) and then follow the unmarked path along the overgrown cart track to the bank. Cart track takes several sharp turns, which should not confuse you. After a longer walk, you reach a better, marked dirt road, where you turn right. Soon, signs direct us left uphill on a slightly wider path, which we follow to mountain pasture Osredki. Pay attention to the markings, as they are sometimes not very visible! From here on, follow the less well-marked steep marked path to the saddle in the sharp ridge of the Goat Horn. Here the path climbs to the left and in a few minutes we are at the Zorko Jelinčič House on the Black Prsti.

Pot smo uporabili za sestop iz Črne prsti. V zgornjem delu je pot dobro označena. Vodi nas mimo čudovite planine Osredki, kjer se pase živina.Po prečenju gozdne ceste postane pot zelo slabo označena. Vodi po zaraščenem kolovozu in se kar naenkrat konča. Vsaj nam se je tako zdelo, zato smo veliko časa porabili, da smo se po strmem gozdu in brezpotju prebili do izvira Bistrice. Še sreča, da smo slišali vodo. Ob potoku vodi pot do Bohinjske Bistrice, ki pa je preslabo označena. Imeli smo namen sestopiti v Žlan, vendar smo zaradi neoznačenih poti prišli v Bohinjsko Bistrico. Menim, da nekaj smerokazov v spodnjem delu te poti ne bi bil prevelik strošek.

Tudi mi smo pot uporabili za sestop s Črne prsti (nanjo smo se povzpeli iz Bohinjske bistrice preko Orožnove koče). Prehod od izvira Bohinjske bistrice do Bohinjske bistrice je predstavljala lep zaključek poti. Če bo še kdo hodil v tej smeri je pot do izvira morda najenostavneje najti tako da se pri sestopu držimo markirane poti proti Žlanu dokler pod cesto na desni ne opazimo ruševin nekega poslopja (cca 750 m nmv). Kmalu zatem pot nadaljuje naravnost, cesta pa se spusti k poslopju. Nadaljujemo po poti še cca 15 višinskih metrov in nato poiščemo prehod skozi gozd proti travniku, ki se svetlika desno pod nami (cca 60 m). Travnik prečimo v enaki smeri kot smo prišli iz gozda in pri lovski opazovalnici sredi travnika ujamemo pot (desno) proti Bistrici oziroma izviru.
