Description of church:
The Basilica of Mary Help of Christians at Brezje is Slovenia's national Marian shrine. From the basilica and its surroundings beautiful views open up on parts of the Julian Alps, Karawanks and Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Several walking, tourist and pilgrimage trails start at the basilica, marked with information boards; one of the most popular is the Brezjanska Pot Miru, leading past the Peračica Waterfall. Increasingly popular lately is the Rožnovenska Pot, shaped like a rosary and considered the world's largest natural rosary.
