Description of lake:
Lake Grünsee lies south of Turracher Höhe. It covers 1.5 ha, reaches a depth of 11.7 m, and is the smallest of the three lakes at Turracher Höhe.
Unlike the other two lakes, it has strong through-flow.
It features well-developed underwater vegetation, such as water milfoil, curled pondweed, and charophyte green algae.
Green algae on the lake bottom form a green turf, giving the water its characteristic green color.
The surrounding slopes are adorned with larches and pines. Grünsee is considered the most picturesque of the three lakes.
