Lokovnikov Grintovec / Grintoutz

Description of peak:
Lokovnikov Grintovec is the dwarf pines vegetated peak to the north of Loibler Baba, from which it is separated by Dovjakovo sedlo (1728 m). Its south-western and western slopes are surrounded by the vast Dovjakova mountain pasture, while towards the Hajnžev Gully it falls with steep grasses and scree. To the east, the small Majer's Saddle (1625 m) connects it with the woded Praprotnik / Zeller Praprotnik, 1727 m, where Majer's and Lokovnik's mountain pasture (1543 m) are spread out. Its northern slopes descend steeply towards Petrovec / Petrouz, 1506 m. The summit is rather sparsely visited, as evidenced by the almost overgrown path with dense dwarf pines and in some places almost faded markings. The infrequent visit is, after all, incomprehensible, as it is considered to be an extremely scenic peak. The view is perhaps even better than from the neighbouring and slightly higher Košutica.
