Mangart

Description of peak:
Mangart (also Mangrt, both spellings are grammatically correct) is a mountain that receives a very high number of visitors in summer. Access to the summit is considerably shortened by a road that runs more than 2000 m high. The summit, which is one of the highest in Slovenia, has a cross at the top and a registration box below it. The summit is spacious and offers a beautiful view on all sides. The best view is of the neighbouring Jalovec, which is only a few metres lower. The Italian Julian Alps are also very visible.
