Passauer Hütte

Description of hut:
The Passauer Hütte mountain hut is located at 2,051 m in the Leoganger Steinberge group near the Mittagsscharte notch. It offers a magnificent view of the wider surroundings, with particularly fine vistas of the nearby peaks Birnhorn and Westliche Mitterspitze. The hut was first built in 1891. It was destroyed by fire in 1947 and rebuilt in 1954. It has since been renovated and enlarged several times. It also has a winter room with 6 bunks.
