Titov vrh

Description of peak:
Titov vrh is located in the Šar Mountains mountain range in the western part of Macedonia. Before the Second World War, it was called Veliko Turčin. After the war, it was renamed after Tito. The Mountaineering Association of Tetovo, since 1980, has been organising a traditional hike to the summit every year on 25 May. The hike is attended by members of mountaineering associations from all the former republics of the former state, and this year there were nearly 700 of us. The starting point of the hike Popova Šapka 1700 m, estimated time of ascent 4.30 hours.
