Description of peak:
Tolminski Migovec is a mountain 1881 m high. Its western slope above the Tolmin valley is the steepest and most picturesque. The southern slope is first grassy, where mountain pasture Kal is also located, then rugged and rocky towards the top. From the east, and even more so from the north, its rugged summit slopes are exposed, stretching from the top towards Tolminski Kuk or dropping into the depths below the Stubble Hill. The summit is domed, the view extends as far as Tolmin in the south, to the west we have views of the Krn Mountains, to the north to Tolmin Kuk (2086 m), and to the east to Vogel (1923 m), Rušnati vrh (1915 m) and Vrh nad Škrbino (2054 m).
Below Tolminski Migovec, we find the longest cave system in Slovenia called Votla gora, which with more than 25 km of explored tunnels has taken over the primacy from Postojna cave with "only" 20 km of connected caves. There are still many potholes on Migovec, which are potential new entrances to the cave, so caution is more than welcome on the potholes.
