Zir

Description of mountain:
Zir is a secluded hill located in the southern part of the Lika field. It seems like a miracle that its sharp rocky peak elevates it from the surrounding plain. Visits to the peak increased significantly when the Zagreb-Split motorway was completed, which also includes the Zir rest area, from which many people miss the view of the mountain. There is also an interesting cave at the top of the mountain, at the end of which is an underground lake. Despite its relatively low altitude, the top of Zir is an outstanding viewpoint of the Velebit and the neighbouring mountain ranges and the Ličko polje.
