Ankaran - Jurjev hrib

Access to the starting point:
From the Primorska motorway, at the Srmin fork, follow the signs for Škofije and Ankaran, then take the Škofije exit. From the nearby roundabout, take the Ankaran direction, then drive to the centre of the town, where you can park in the pay parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot, walk to the nearby roundabout and continue towards Itali. Continue along the pavement, and we walk along the main road to the Orthopaedic Hospital Valdoltra, where we turn slightly right onto the Vinogradnica Trail. Continue along the asphalt road, which is initially marked, and then continue along the right-hand side of a large concrete steel cable (the marked path continues along the left-hand side of the steel cable). The road is laid out here, and a little further on, it gently descends through the passage. At a few small junctions continue straight ahead, and at the junction of two roads of equal length, take a slight right, which climbs between olive groves. As you leave the grove, a road branches off to the left, leading to a nearby house, and we continue straight into the forest (the right-hand road leads to the village of Barižoni).
When you leave the road, continue straight ahead on a wider forest path (the right-hand path, which runs parallel to the road, is a nature trail), which begins to climb moderately. Higher up, the path flattens out and at the highest point you reach the undistinguished Jurjev Hill.
From the top you can descend along the same path, or you can continue straight on and then at the crossroads near which there is an information board for Resslov gaj - Barižoni, take a sharp right and return to the asphalt road along the nature trail.
