Sv. Lovrenc na Ivniku / St. Lorenzen ob Eibiswald - Sveti Jernej above Muta (Austrian path)

Access to the starting point:
From Maribor or Dravograd take the road to Radlje ob Dravi, and from the crossroads near the Hofer and Lidl shops, take the road towards MMP Radelj. The road ascends to the Radelj Pass (674 m), and when you arrive in Austria, the road starts to descend. From the junction where you leave the main road, you start climbing again, and at the junctions follow the signs for St. Lovrenec. When you reach the village, drive to the church of St. Lawrence and park in the cemetery parking lot.

Path description:
From the Church of St. Lawrence, return to the main road and then continue west. Quickly arrive at a marked crossroads, from which you continue along the road on the left in the direction of St. Jernej / St. Bartholomä, St. Primož / St. Primon and St. Treh Kraljev / Hl. Drei König. The road continues past a chapel, a few houses and then forks.
From the road, go slightly right towards St. Jernej (continue on the Bricnik road and the Slovenian trail towards St. Jernej), where the trail leads into the woods under a nearby house. Follow the signs through the forest at the crossroads, then quickly reach the macadam road, which you follow to the right, and at the nearby crossroads go straight ahead. A little further on, go down the road to the left and begin to descend visibly towards the stream, which is still quite distant at first. Cross the stream at a lower level, then climb out of the woods and follow cart track up to a nearby farmhouse, after which cart track turns into a dirt road. After the stone chapel, leave the road and continue straight into the forest, and the path starts to descend again. Cross another small stream, where Puschnigg - Mühle used to be, and then follow cart track up to a pasture, where the track disappears. Cross the pasture and climb to the Puschnigg / Puschnigg homestead, then follow the asphalt road south-westwards.
When the road turns right, leave it at a marked crossroads and continue left downhill towards St. Jernej. After a few steps, the path stops descending, and from the crossroads go straight ahead (right Mlake / Laaken), passing the chapel, which is in a rather poor state of repair, on the right-hand side. Follow the gently sloping cart track, which will take you to the Slovenian side of the border in a few minutes, and a few steps further on join the cart track, which is the path from the Bistriški ditch.
Continue towards St. Jernej, and a little higher up the path leads out of the woods, where you go right, crossing into the woods once more. You quickly leave the woods and pass the cemetery to reach the Church of St. Jernej.
