Branko, there sits one big grin
First you're missing the parking meter in Zajnci, the fine could be high if there was a check, then also the waterfall. Beli potok is not in the head of Zadnjica above Utro, but near the lower station of the cargo cableway to Pogačnikov dom. It flows into Krajcarco there where the old parking lot was. Below is a wonderful waterfall, Belopotoški waterfall or Pinja locally. Too bad you didn't view the waterfall on the way back, actually there are two, lower and upper, under the lower one is a beautiful pool that invites refreshment. Only a quarter hour off the marked path, during descent, if you turn right at Boris and go past nice huts to the stream bed and along it to the pool smile

No turbo, we're not in school to get grades.

Well on the Western Julian Alps map I somehow read that it could be the waterfall of Beli potok. Obviously it's another watercourse. On the Western Julian Alps map I can't make out which watercourse it is, The path over Komar is marked only with black dashed line, although it's a marked path. The military map is more accurate - unfortunately I only have the military topographic map - Julian Alps - East, which doesn't cover the entire Zadnjica. But Komar is marked correctly - with a red line - that's how all marked paths are marked on this map regardless of difficulty. Probably I also have somewhat outdated maps. Already last year I planned to buy those new plastic maps that don't tear. I'll do it next year.

turbo nice that you point out my mistakes or rather my lack of knowledge. I'm very grateful for every well-intentioned advice and warning.

Branko, already from the green smiley you can see it was a joke regarding the warning. From the attached link, to better understand where things are in the Zadnjica valley. Otherwise there is also a map:

Today my colleague and I did a reconnaissance for my retirees. We went to see the Zapotoški waterfalls. Over Vršič we drive to Trenta and at the last hairpin turn right towards the starting point for Jalovec, Bavški Grintavec and also for Zapotoški waterfalls. The path to the first waterfall is nicely traceable and not demanding at all. So we reach the first lower waterfall. Currently there's not too much water, so we can view it quite close up. For the next ones we have to go a bit back on the path and left across the scree to a nice path. At the beginning of the path we notice two cairns. Here the path goes a bit uphill, but not too demanding. First we reach two smaller waterfalls, then a nice larger one. At the end we reach the head of the gorge with waterfalls and see a wonderful waterfall that splits into two arms - beautiful. Not much water, so no problem, because we occasionally have to cross a bit of water. The water is crystal clear. Actually we hardly met any hikers - only one Slovenian couple and a couple of foreign mountaineers. I highly recommend a visit now, because there's little water.

This doesn't really belong in this topic, but these Italian waterfalls in the Umbria region are so beautiful, majestic, that it's a shame not to show them to you.

On Monday, 09.10.2023, I also took my Monday group - the retirees' section of PD Škofja Loka - as the main guide to see the Zapotoški waterfalls. Since there were 60 of us, we didn't go over Vršič but far around - we drove for three hours to Zgornja Trenta. Then from the source of Soča towards the first lower waterfall. This time I was here for the third time and didn't have the chance to go further. With the bus, of course, we couldn't go beyond the source of Soča. With the Medvode retirees we even drove to the barrage, where the marked path for the waterfalls and for Bavški Grintavec and past Špič to Jalovec starts. On the way to Grintavec you go over the Zapotok pasture, which they declare the butterfly pasture. Definitely I have to walk to that pasture next year. You go past several of these characteristic Trenta huts - the area is called Kverh. Interesting is the hut that has the chimney outside. Up to these turnoffs for the summits the path is marked. For the waterfalls the marks run out, but the path is the only one and well trodden. We went only to the beautiful lower waterfall, because time was short for the others. Currently there's even more water than on the two previous hikes. Without special difficulties along the water of Suhi potok you reach the pool of the waterfall. Only at two places you have to hold on a bit to rocks. No one got wet. Of course not everyone went right to the waterfall - half for sure - they were enthusiastic. There followed a long way back - in Cerkno we had the conclusion at the inn, where they have a memorial room for doctor Franja, who worked during WWII in the partisan hospital Franja. Anyway we had a good time.
We drive to the source of the Soča.1
Unfortunately, there was no time to view the source of the Soča.2

This time I'm presenting two waterfalls in the heart of the Slovenian Karst. This one near Sočerga the Reka watercourse creates a beautiful waterfall - called Veli Vir. I don't know exactly how high it is - but it's quite watery and falls into a beautiful pool. This waterfall is behind the village Sokoliči. The other waterfall of this area is located behind the village Starci. It's the highest waterfall of the Slovenian Karst - Stranice waterfall. Unfortunately it currently has very little water. With greater inflow it would really be majestic.
Slap Veli Vir.1
Slap Stranice.2
This is how it falls into the depth - unfortunately it currently has little water.3

After a long time I saw a nice waterfall again. It's the waterfall on the path from Dekani to Tinjan. It's made by the Struga stream. It doesn't have much water. Water more crawls than falls over the dried wall lower down the streambed. It's about eight meters high. But this unusual little waterfall is still interesting.

Yesterday I went with PD Rašica Ljubljana to see the Bohor waterfalls. There are quite a few. Somehow I figured we saw three - Bojanca, Pekel and Ubijalnik. To the first two waterfalls you get via the stream gorge. Currently the watercourse is quite watery and you have to be careful not to get wet when crossing. The path through the gorge is extremely demanding. Wire ropes and pegs help. All the effort is rewarded with the view of two waterfalls. It's Bojanca and Pekel. On the way back we descended via wire ropes to another wonderful waterfall. That's Ubijalnik waterfall. Without wire ropes it wouldn't be possible. There are more waterfalls in this area - maybe for another time.
First view of the Bojanco and Pekel waterfalls.1
Initially across meadow patches.2
We cross a small stream several times.3
If you miss the stone, you get water in your shoe.4
Past wild garlic plantations.5
We have arrived in the gorge.6
In the gorge the path is very demanding - no mistakes allowed.7
Above the Bojanca waterfall.8
On brackets and along the steel cable. Dangerous - slippery, wet.9
Across the footbridge.10
A small waterfall.11
Before the Pekel waterfall.12
The gully into the lower pool falls in two steps - this is a branch of the waterfall.13
Pekel Waterfall a little differently.14
From this waterfall we came to the partisan printing house.15
On the way back we also viewed the Ubijalnik waterfall.16
Access to the waterfall is killer on the cables.17
Arrived at the waterfall.18
Some of them didn't even go to the waterfall.19

Yesterday already the fourth time to see two waterfalls in Slovenian Istria. This time I took the Medvode retirees. Not too much water, so crossing the watercourse, as many as seven times, went without problems. The Stranice waterfall still had water. In high summer it happens that the waterfalls have no water. This time we went the classic way - start in Sočerga on the lower marked path to Veli Vir waterfall. The path further to Starci gets complicated because the path to Starci is not marked. The path to Stranice waterfall and further to Starci - that was a Venetian fortified military post from the 15th century - one tower is a ruin, the other renovated - is not marked. It's also very poorly trodden - partly almost disappears. The path to Starci is marked from Trebeše village. At this unmarked path there was a bit of a tangle, but we successfully resolved the tangle with the hiking direction - credit to my assistant. First time I went there with PD Rašica Ljubljana and our guide Primož said he discovered the path there with difficulty - apparently got lost three times. The path from Veli Vir waterfall to Starci should be properly marked. I hope someone from the mountaineering club covering this area reads this. Thanks for understanding!

Up to the Veli Vir waterfall, it is well marked.4

After a couple of years we saw a beautiful Slovenian waterfall again. After part of the Juliana trail from Kobarid to Tolmin we also visited Kozjak waterfall. There were a lot of visitors - of course foreigners. At least for me it's one of the most beautiful Slovenian waterfalls.
Let's go.1
