I don't know if anyone has written about this yet. This is a pleasant trip to Jezersko and a bit into its forests. On Lower Jezersko, the left sign directs us left to the source of Kokra, to farm tourism, and on the right side of the road the sign for Krtina Hospital directs us to the same path. Shortly after the junction, at a small parking lot on the left side of the road opposite the houses, we can leave the car and continue on foot. The path is four kilometers one way. On the asphalt road after one kilometer we reach a panel that informs us we are entering the mountain world of the Karavanke. I didn't know that until now. On the right side we spot a pleasant guesthouse with farm tourism. On the same side at the last house we see a beautifully arranged rock garden with pools - worth seeing. Here the asphalt ends and we continue on nice gravel. We reach a barrier that doesn't let cars through during mushroom season. Throughout, the roaring of Kokra accompanies us. On some section we see nice water barriers, further on the left small tributaries that with their waterfalls and moss create a fairy-tale impression. We also go past the abandoned quarry of the famous Jezersko lehnjak stone. After four kilometers we are almost at the goal. The sign directs us right, where we see a completely new table with benches for pleasant rest, two small bridges lead us to the stairs which recently got a completely new railing and these lead us to the Krtina Hospital. It surprises that the hospital hut is open and on display with all its inventory. In the glass-locked cabinet there are even surgical instruments, on the shelf dishes, there's even a guestbook and picture of a deceased patient. The hut is a replica of the wartime one, as the original was burned during the war. Really a pleasant trip for the whole family. Highly recommend! Adding pictures below.
