nasmehOn Saturday 17.9.2011 afternoon with mountain bike to Rudnica above Olimje from starting point Podčetrtek. If Boč somehow ,,belongs,, to me through father then Rudnica is definitely the hill from mother's side, because she was born in nearby settlement Sela pri Virštanju...The thread of today's route was thus given and I just had to unravel it... For Rudnica there are some geographical terms that compose it - Olimjska gora, Plešivec, Silavec, Mala Rudnica... and all these parts of Rudnica I rode today more or less. Total 27 kilometers in just over two hours and by estimate just under a thousand elevation meters, because Garmin data partially jezen broke down today.
At the beginning of the year I hiked Rudnica twice and partially got to know it but with bike I pulled a bit more to the west...Summit named Plešivec 686 m.a.s.l. today I didn't plan but it was still conquered by bike and partially walking beside bike on path from direction Loka pri Žusmu. Descended beside bike on hiking trail towards Podčetrtek and then circled entire Plešivec on very dynamic road ,,up and down,, Then followed return via Silavec and Mala Rudnica back to Olimje, although direct to Podčetrtek was in play for some time... Trails in some places decently shredded but the weather was just right...Almost certainly return to Rudnica with some route correction...

nasmehAfter eight days, return to Rudnica and somewhat extended circular variant to Podčetrtek. Conditions for riding are ideal... Today without the summit of Rudnica - the 686-meter-high Plešivec, but after the ride to Sopot above Olimje added return part towards Podčetrtek and complete circular finish via Svinjski graben to the church of St. Lovrenc in Podčetrtek. Forest paths and roads without traffic while in the valley cycling ,,crowd squared,,. Data on the completed route visible on Garmin....
