Some photos from the trip Bistrica v Rožu - Psinski vrh. I ascended to the summit via the western path, which is occasionally somewhat overgrown, but passable. I descended via the eastern path over the Vranjica saddle. The path from Vranjica saddle to the village Sine is overgrown, full of fallen trees and hard to follow on clearings.
Given that there was a thunderstorm in these parts yesterday evening, the path was quite wet.

Today with PD Rašica Ljubljana to Psinji vrh - in German Sinacher Gupf. It should also be called Sinski vrh or Podsinji vrh.

This is a beautiful vantage point above Spodnji Rož in the Karavanke in Austria. Starting point is in the village Sine/ Sinach above Bistrica v Rožu-619m. Path is marked with No. 660.

We drive through Ljubelj tunnel to Bistrica v Rožu/ Feistritz im Rosental.

We have to overcome 1000m altitude difference - up we walk about three hours, down the same.

Two hours to the saddle Vranjica/Orienzsattel -1122m. Then follows a fairly steep ascent to the summit. There a cross and logbook await us.

Back we went via the circular southern path, which brings us to the starting point. For this southern descent we used small crampons in the upper part of the path due to the icy path. There is virtually no snow. We had a wonderful sunny day and beautiful views of the Karavanke, the Spodnji Rož valley. In the distance the snowy peaks of the Tauern.
