Today Tadej and I headed to the eastern part of Slovenske Gorice to the highest elevation - to Gomila. It doesn't have much height - modest 325m. We started in the village of Sakušak, where there is a museum of inventor Janez Puh. He made the first motorcycle with a gasoline engine in 1901. Then we walked to the tourist farm Amur, where there are quite a few ponds. Then more of a walk to the 18m high metal lookout tower on Gomila. In 1992 they erected it instead of the old wooden tower used by JLA. It was built for the 130th anniversary of the inventor's birth. From the top you can really see far. Really nice view over the entire Slovenske Gorice. To the northeast the view extends over Mursko polje to Prekmurje, to the south over Ptujsko polje and Haloze to Boč, Donačka gora and Maglja all the way to Medvednica, to the west over Slovenske Gorice to Pohorje. Here is the junction of three municipalities - Juršinci, Sveti Tomaž, Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici and Ljutomer.

We did a circular route through the villages Senčak, Rucmancov, Bodkovcev back to Sakušak. The trail is marked. It goes through the mentioned villages, meadows, forest and of course asphalt.

In between we also go to the tourist farm Amur.

There are several ponds here - it's very nice.

Once there were houses here covered with straw.

About an hour's walk towards Ljutomer there are also Bioterme Mala Nedelja, where you can relax pleasantly. The view from the tower, that's the valley to the east, and there are also signposts.
Nice area.

Well, a nice Monday finally came for my Monday hikers (hiking group retirees section at Škofja Loka mountaineering club). We set off on a nice walk to Gomila from Sakušak. We went along the marked short path.
