Description of mountain:
Jamnikov spodmol on Kočna above Jesenice is a small cave located under a rock wall in the western slope of Kavč (also Žerjavec ), at an altitude of 720 m. A few decades ago, a bony harpon, some flint chips, brown bear toth fragments and charcoal were found in the cave, which makes it one of the most important archaeological sites with the oldest evidence of human presence in the Gornjesavská valley. The finds were placed in the Middle Stone Age or Mesolithic culture on the basis of the analysis of the charcoal and the bone harpon. The wall, which measures 1.7 m in height, 8 m in length and 6.5 m in depth, was named after the finder, Pavle Jamnik.
