Dom na Smrekovcu - Komen (via Smrekovec and Krnes)

Access to the starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Maribor motorway, take the Mozirje exit and follow the road towards Logarska dolina. In the village Ljubno ob Savinji, the sign for Smrekovec points to the right. The road then takes you through the centre of the village, where you turn left again after the Smrekovec sign. The road then leads to Ljubenske Rastke, where you continue to the right. Follow the road, which is still asphalted at first, towards Smrekovec (the lodge at Smrekovec) and follow it to the parking lot near the mountain lodge.

Path description:
From the house, continue left along the path towards Smrekovec. The path climbs moderately at first over a grassy slope, then goes into the forest, where it climbs steeply for a short time. The steepness quickly subsides and the path leads us to a crossroads where we continue slightly right in the direction of Smrekovec (left Komen direct). The way forward takes us through increasingly sparse forest quite steeply upwards. After a few minutes we finally emerge from the forest and the path is laid. There are only a few minutes of easy walking, along the panoramic ridge of Smrekovec to the stone pyramid visible at the top.
From the top of Smrekovec, continue left into the forest. The path begins to descend and after a short descent leads to extensive meadows. Here, follow the path along a very wide ridge surrounded by spruce forest, mostly gently downhill. The path then crosses a pasture fence and immediately afterwards comes to a crossroads (the path from the top of Smrekovec to here is not marked). Here, the direct path from home joins us from the left, we continue straight on (right path). The path goes on to cart track, which leads us to a slightly steeper path. The path climbs for a while through the forest and leads us again to wide meadows. The cart track also ends and the path then leads to a crossroads. Here a signpost points slightly right in the direction of the Krnes summit (straight Komen direct).
The trailhead is a bit harder to find but, once you get to the edge of the forest, you find it quickly. The path then starts to climb steeply through a rather overgrown forest, but only for a good five minutes. Then you reach the grassy slopes again. Here, we can now see a fence on the right in front of us, along which the path continues. After walking along the fence for a few minutes, we see the Krnes peak, which is on the right side of this fence.
From the top, go back a few metres to the fence and continue along the fence. Walk along the left side of the fence and the path leads to a place where you have to cross the fence again. Immediately after this, the path starts to descend more steeply and in less than five minutes leads us to the marked path we left when we climbed to the top of Krnes. Here we continue straight in the direction of Raduha along the path, which then begins to climb moderately and after a short ascent through the forest leads us to the wide meadows below the summit of Komna. Here the trail initially descends gently to the signposts. Continue to the right (straight ahead Raduha and Travnik), initially gently across the meadow, then the path climbs steeply and quickly leads us to a scenic peak.
