Hayrack (Laška vas - Pečovje) - Babni vrh (Vladimirjeva pot)

Access to the starting point:
The "Laška vas - Pečovje" chapel is an ideal starting point for hiking tours in the nearby hills. For many years, the trestle was a feature of the Bojanski brook gorge between Pečovje and Laška vas, which is also the route of the asphalt road. As the goat house owned by a farmer had fallen into disrepair a few years ago, the municipality of Štore rebuilt it for its visibility with the help of European funds in order to preserve the vernacular architecture. Next to the trestle there is a large parking lot where we can park our little steel horse. The starting point can be reached by car from Celje and Štorje, where you can follow the signs for Svetina. Once you have passed the area of the old part of the ironworks in Štore, leave the main road to Svetina and turn right at the turnoff to Pečovje or Laska vas. Continue along the narrow asphalt road for about 1 km and you will arrive at our trestle. You can also reach the starting point on foot, as the path from the Štore railway station to the hut is fully marked.

Path description:
The trail starts at the new goat house. First, follow the marked trail to the Mountain Lodge at Svetina (Almin dom). At the crossroads by the goat house, follow the asphalt road higher up the hill to Žlajfa, where the road turns into a well-marked forest path. The ascent through the forest is fine, taking place in a moderately steep gully between Mali Bojanski vrh on the left and Veliki Bojanski vrh on the right. Once out of the forest and onto the meadow between the two peaks, a little higher up, you come out onto the macadam road in Zarovišiai, where the path from Šentjanž comes from the left, the path from Bojanski grabno comes from the right, and straight up the path continues towards the Mountain Home at Svetina. Continue straight ahead first a few steps on the asphalt, then left through a short section in the woods, then a few steps left again on the macadam and then right through the courtyard of the homestead between the tower silo, the house and the barn. Continue straight up south into the pasture-crop part, and after about 140 metres turn left at the fork at cart track, leave the marked path towards Svetina, and head towards the distant woods to the east. As a landmark for the turn-off, notice the concrete well to the left of the path. Soon leave the meadow and enter the forest. The path alternates between the forest for a while and the meadow at the edge of the forest for a while. When you get between the houses, after a short stretch on macadam, you soon come across a signpost for the XIVth Division. Here you continue to the left, but only a few steps to the edge of the forest, where you continue to the right along the edge of the forest, through a pleasant clearing, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding peaks. At the end of the clearing, turn slightly left onto a path into the forest, which soon joins the cart track coming from the right. Continue on cart track, where you will soon have a view towards the eastern hills, and just before the forest, leave cart track and follow the narrow path that leads slightly right up towards the summit. A few more steps along a moderately sloping ridge and you are on Babne vrh.
