Kočevje - Koča pri Jelenovem studencu (Grajska way)

Access to the starting point:
First drive to Kočevje, then look for Podgorska street (it branches off the main road to the right - the route of travel is towards Delnice). At the end of the street you will see mountain signs and a nicely arranged parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot, walk to a well-marked crossroads, then continue left towards the Grajska cesta (Kalanova pot on the right). First go around the house, then turn left and cross the grassy slope. The path then enters the wods, where it continues in a moderate ascent along the relatively wide cart track. Higher up, cart track crosses a forest road and gradually turns into a slightly steeper footpath. The well-marked path crosses the road a few more times higher up and leads to a crossroads where the path to Livoldski vrh and Fridrihštejn Castle branches off to the left.
Continue slightly right towards the hut and Mestni vrh along the well-marked cart track path, which has a few more forks. A little further on, we see the markings for Mestni vrh, and we continue straight ahead along the wide cart track in the direction of the hut at Jelen's Well.
The wide cart track leads us higher up to an undistinguished pass, where it turns slightly to the right and begins to descend gradually to a forest road, which we follow to the right, but only for a few metres. Here you will see a wide footpath which leads down to the mountain lodge in a few steps.
