Poetto - Sella del Diavolo

Access to the starting point:
The famous Poetto Beach lies 5 kilometres east of the centre of Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia.

Path description:
The entire eastern slope of the Sella del Diablo is a military area and therefore there are no approaches from this side. As Poetto beach is on the eastern side, the hill must first be circumnavigated to a good extent. From Poetto, after 5 minutes turn left onto Via Vergine di Lluc and at the small square of Piazza San Bartolomeo turn left onto Calamosca. Follow the road straight ahead to its end, where a marked footpath begins. The path climbs steeply at first and then divides into two branches, the left one being the one on the right (the right one is the way to the viewpoint). The path then reaches several viewpoints on Poetto beach. Towards the end of the trail, you first reach a hut and then an archaeological site, after which the trail ends.
