Wildon - Buchkogel (Wildoner Berg)

Access to the starting point:
From the Maribor - Graz motorway, take the Wildon exit. Turn left towards Wildon.
Take the 2nd exit for Wildon at the roundabout and follow the road for about 1 km, then turn right at the junction and immediately left again.
You will come to a parking lot near the lake (before the bridge where the river Kainach crosses). Park here.

Path description:
From the parking lot, follow the pavement over the bridge over the river Kainach, where you will see the first marker of our route.
Keep to the main road. After a slight bend to the left, the signs direct you to the other side of the road into a narrow alley where there is a direction sign with a mountain map and the length of the trail.
Go up the street, following the markings and direction signs for Buchkogel.
When you come to a fork where there is a small rock on the left, you can see the markings to the right, and also to the left.
Both paths lead to the summit. The left path is a little longer, while the right path has a viewpoint along the way.
Take the path to the right. Follow the road to the right to the house where the tarmac path ends.
Continue along the path by the fence, which leads to a bench with a viewpoint.
Then go into the woods. Cross the macadam road (which leads to near the summit), continue through the forest.
Further on, the path leads to a road and a fork of two dirt roads.
Take the dirt road on the right and after 10 metres you will see the start of a track on the left, which will take you to the summit in a few minutes on a steep path.
