Kahlkogel/Golica

Description of peak:
Kahlkogel is an unvegetated peak located north of Jesenice. From the top, which has a registration box, there is a beautiful view of the western Karawanks and part of Julian Alps with Triglav. The best time to visit Kahlkogel is in May, when the daffodils blom on the slopes of Planina pod Golico and adorn the surrounding area. In order to preserve the daffodils, do not pick them and let them be admired for generations to come.
