Description of peak:
Ilijin vrh or St. Ilija is the main peak of the Sniježnica Konavoska mountain ridge, which is also the southernmost mountain ridge of the Dinaric Mountains in Croatia.
The peak is located above the town of Kuna Konavoska and is also the highest peak in Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
A meteorological station, a transmitter and the Chapel of St. Ilija are located on the summit. The registration book is located in the chapel and the stamp is on the wall, right above the dor.
In fine weather we have a wonderful view on all sides, of the mountains along and across the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, of the Orjen mountain ridge in Montenegro and of the entrance to the Boka Kotar Mountains.
To the south we have a view of the open sea and to the south-west the runway of Čilipi airport. To the west we see the island of Lokrum, part of old Dubrovnik, Babin Kuk and the Elaphiti Islands.
Far on the horizon we see the island of Mljet. The Srdž (Srđ) hill rises above the hidden Dubrovnik.
