Lake Kočevje

Description of mountain hut:
Lake Kočevje (also Lake Kočevsko jezero) is a lake of mining origin. During the exploitation of the lignite, a pit was formed, which was later floded by water, and during the operation of the mine, the water flowing from the Rudniški brok was pumped out. The lake, which is considered one of the cleanest Slovenian lakes, is up to 40 m deep.
There is a fisherman's bar next to the lake, near the parking lot, and the Jezero - Tušek restaurant a little further away.
