Description of mountain:
The highest and westernmost peak of the Muscovites rises high above the Tilmenta Valley to the west and the Venzonasse to the south. It descends to the north into the Rhesus.
The southern slopes, where a flock of numerous ibex can be seen on every visit, are mostly covered with grasses, while the north is dominated by broken, precipitous cliffs with numerous ravines, gullies and towers.
The summit has two distinct ridges. The central one descends from the summit to the south-west via the Cima di Cervada (1781 m) and the Cima di Somp Selve (1702 m). The ridge is very scenic and pathless, but technically quite difficult (grades I-II). Below the Cime di Somp Selve, it splits into two ridges: one descending towards Portis, the other towards Venzone, and, together with the parallel ridge of the Cime dei Larici to the north, it clings to the picturesque valley of Lavaruzza. The second, more distinct ridge with Lopiča runs south-eastwards over an unnamed peak (1858 m) to the Slips saddle, where it is linked to the ridge of the Maple. Both ridges are flanked to the south by the vast, steep grassy 'cirque', which flows into the gorge of the Gran Rio stream. To the north-west, the Lopič also sends an otherwise less uniform ridge over the peaks of the Pale di Misdi (Punta del Mezzogiorno, 1841 m) and the Cima Clapadorie (1756 m).
