Description of peak:
Plešivška kopa is part of the Uršlja gora mountain range, or rather a distinct forested shoulder stretching from the top to the east. It is a peak of various forms. From the Mislinja valley it is seen as a high rising peak (Kopa) in front of Uršlja gora, while from the Mežica valley it is seen as a sprawling forested ridge stretching eastwards from Uršlja gora. If we have a little imagination, this image may remind us of the image of a goat's back, and perhaps hence its other name Kozarnica, which is used in places north of the mountain. The summit is almost unknown and unvisited due to the proximity of its more famous neighbour, and many mountaineers avoid it when they go to Uršlja Gora, south of the summit. Plešivška kopa is forested all the way to the top, but due to the precipitous nature of the northern slope, you can also enjoy the view northwards while walking along the summit ridge between the gaps in the forest, which encompasses a large part of Slovenian Carinthia, Huhnerkogel, Kozjak, and all the way up to the Lavanttal Alps in Austria. Plešivška kopa is also a good place to enjoy the view northwards, which encompasses a large part of Slovenian Carinthia, Huhnerkogel, Kozjak, and as far as the Lavanttal Alps in Austria. There is no marked trail to this peak, but with a little effort you can visit it on hunting and forest trails, and enjoy the tranquillity of the summit forests. If we keep quiet, we might see a chamois, a great cockerel or even a herd of mouflon.
