Description of peak:
At 3343 m, Punta Penia is the highest peak in the Marmolada and also in the Italian Dolomites. From the top of the peak, where there is a small mountain hut (shelter and bivouac) and a cross, we have a beautiful view over most of the Dolomites. In good weather, the view reaches all the way to the highest peaks of Slovenia and the Gulf of Trieste.
