Studenice castle

Description of mountain:
Studenice castle is located on a hill above the monastery complex and the central part of Studenice. According to historical sources, it was built at the time of the Turkish invasions and is said to bear the name Studenitz castrum. Perhaps more of a tower fortress in terms of the structure of the building. It was burnt down in a great fire in 1788 and was never rebuilt. From the ruins of the castle there is a fine view of Boč, including the summit.
