Description of peak:
Veliki vrh is located in the NE part of the Banjška plateau, rising above the Čepovan valley, the valley of the Soča River and the valley of the Idrijca River. At 1071 m it is, together with Laščko, the highest peak of the plateau. It borders on Kanalski Lom on one side and on Lokovec and Grudnica on the other. Access is possible from several sides, passing by a very scenic circular hiking trail called Lom je moj dom (Lom is my home). From the top, where there is a miniature Aljaž tower with a registration book and a stamp, there is a beautiful view of the Krnski hory, the ridge of the Bohinj-Tolminski hory, the Cerkljanski hills and the Šentviška plateau.
