Description of mountain:
Hom is an 834-meter-high hill rising north above the villages of Zasip and Podhom near Bled, or south of the village Blejska Dobrava near Jesenice. At the summit, beneath whose steep western slopes the famous Vintgar Gorge winds, stands a cross; you can also sign the summit logbook and use the stamp.
Hom is renowned as a popular recreational spot for many locals and attractive to all who wish to rest in nature. If quiet enough, you may encounter wild animals like squirrels and roe deer along the path. A few meters below the summit, you can enjoy fine views of the Karawanks with Stol and Begunjščica, and their southern foothills above the villages known as Dežele.
