Monticello

Description of peak:
It is a lower peak located in the southern fothills of the Creta Grauzaria and Sernio mountain groups, north of Mužac / Moggio Udinese and west of the Aupa valley. Despite its lower altitude, it offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains, the aforementioned Grauzaria and Sernio, while on the other side of the Aupa, Zuc dal Bor, Monte Chiavals and Počimunih reign supreme, with Lopič standing out on the south side and Amariana to the south-west. The summit is ideal for an early spring overland tour, as the influence of the Mediterranean means that snow at this altitude is picked up even earlier than here.
