Samotni bor

Description of peak:
Samotni bor is the peak to the north-west above Maribor, slightly further north and higher than the better known Pyramid, City Peak and Calvary. To the east of the peak is Ribniško selo, to the north Vinarje and to the west Kamnica. The summit is forested, quite highly populated on the eastern and southern sides, and surrounded by vineyards to the west. Above Ribniško selo, where the most traditional access is, is the chapel of St. Rosalia, a few tens of metres below the summit. An interesting point for a walk in the Maribor town park for an easy mini-climb and a nice view.
