Description of peak:
Mala Boncla is a 1131 m high rocky - protected peak above Javorniški Rovt in Karawanks, which offers the visitor a beautiful view towards Javornik and Javorniški Rovt, and in the background towards the Gorje Mountains. To the south-west, the view extends to the Bohinj Mountains, and to the west to the Julijce Mountains - from Viševnik, via Triglav and Škrlatica, to Kukova Spica. To the north-west, Kahlkogel and Krvavka are as close as the palm of our hand, and to the very north, Belska planina, Barentaler Kotschna, Srednica and Kamnitnik.
Mala Boncla , neighbouring the less interesting 1241 m high Velika Boncla, appears on some older maps under the name Bavha, which is said to mean white cow in folk jargon.
