Description of peak:
Trstelj is the highest peak in the Black Hills ridge. The view from the vast summit, where the TV transmitters stand, is split in half. From the north side of the peak, Goriško with Sabotin, Sveta Gora and Škabrijel are clearly visible. Behind these peaks, with good visibility, we can see a large part of the Julian Mountains, and further to the right, the Trnovo plateau with the Golaki, Čavno and Nanos to the east, below which we can see the Vipava valley. To the south we can see the Gulf of Trieste, part of the Italian coast and, with good visibility, the Savudrija peninsula.
