Mrzlica

Description of peak:
Mrzlica has become an extremely popular excursion point in the last few years, especially for visitors from the Savinjska Valley and Zasavje. At 1122 metres above sea level, it is the fourth highest mountain in the Zasavje mountain range and, like Kuma, it offers an exceptional view, as all the nearby peaks are much lower.
According to some data, the hut on Mrzlica is even the most visited hiking station in the Slovenian Central Mountains. The hut is managed by the Trbovlje Mountain Association and offers 67 beds in 18 roms. The youngest children are also well catered for, as there are numerous playgrounds on the lawn in front of the hut, which are usually well-maintained.
The hut itself is slightly below the top of Mrzlica (about 30 metres) and there is a steep path through the forest to the top. There is a viewing platform at the top which gives good orientation.
